Sound like the good old days when the primes would come to your company, one after the other, and request changes to your documentation each requesting their specific verbiage be used.
But in all due respect if you manual referenced ISO 9001:2000 and your certification has an expiration date after this month he or she is correct in issuing a minor so that you will correct the reference. One company I worked for had similar write-up because the quality manual still referenced AS9100A four years after the release of AS9100B.
