Yin Yang PPAP List Requirements - Molds, Tools or the Checking Tools?

hello everybody~i just touch the 4th edition PPAP~and today another department leader(we are the System Iprovement Team members,i am a STA)came to tell me,we shall put the molds、tools or the checking tools into the PPAP,it means i have to creat a list for listing all the tools, because we must verify the size of every process in the PPAP process.
but i don't agree with him.because all the tools must be ordered by the buyer who responsibility for the business,so only the buyer have the tools list, and they should verify the tools or the molds which are in the list.and what we should do is to make sure the parts is OK from the process.all the tools or molds are just for the OK parts!

if somebody support my opinion?

According to the requirements

2.2.16 Checking Aids
If requested by the customer, the organization shall submit with the PPAP submission any part-specific assembly or component checking aid.
This is because if they are used to check the parts there is a need to ensure that the customer and supplier are on the same wavelength.

Ask them to show you where it says molds and tools cause I don't know

yes,i can't found anything about the molds or the tools but the checking aid,so i just agree that we STA must to ensure the checking aids and put the checking aids list into the PPAP.

If you look at the 4th Edition PSW form, under Submission Results, you'll see a space labeled "Mold/Cavity/Production Process." If you're using hard tooling such as molds or dies (stamping or casting), the tooling should be identified there.

Check the customer specific requirements, PO, SOW, it's likely hiding in there somewhere.

Also, if we step back from "lawyering" the standards, if it was my company I'd want to make sure all cavities, molds, tools, whatever were OK before I shipped to my customer, and I wouldn't disagree or feel put out if my customer required it.

I have seen too many so called identical molds different to think otherwise. The best was a dimensionally perfect mold in every way (except it was mirrored).

Obviously you have to get approval for each mould/die but that is not what I understood that the OP was asking.
LT_Ning can you explain what they meant? That is why I wanted to see where it was required to understand what he was told.
IMO we are talking in the dark.
