You should start a new thread instead of posting an off-topic question in an old one.
In the broadest sense of the word "calibration," you could say that inspection is a type of calibration. Calibration is comparison of something to a standard. When a measurement device is calibrated, it's compared to an accepted standard and if necessary it's adjusted. In inspection, we compare a product with a standard and decide whether it's fit for use using documented requirements, such as a drawing.
In the way that the two words are generally used in manufacturing, calibration is the act of verifying the accuracy and precision of measurement devices against a traceable standard and understanding measurement uncertainty for the device in question. Inspection is the act of verifying that a product or service meets the documented requirements.
