Yes it does. A big one. The protectionist in me would feel smug except for the people living the nightmares involved with these homes. When I buy a product, I should be able to feel reasonably sure its components won't damage me or the overall product. That's why we have these obnoxious (and costly) controls involved with the automotive industry, Level 1 components for submarine salt water systems (expensive due to their each-piece testing and traceability), and Mil-Stds that drove up the prices of military things without meaning to.
