Waiting for an Auditor after our AS9100 Stage Two Audit
Hi everyone,
How long do we wait for the stage two audit results? We had some finding (3), and the auditor said, with good action plans and fixing the issues "we would pass".
We did an action plans and fixed the issues, but the auditor has not got back to us, it will be 1 month in 5 days.
Thanks for responding.

Re: Waiting for an Auditor after our Stage Two Audit
The audit results should have been CLEARLY disclosed at the closing meeting, at the end of the Stage 2 audit. That's what ISO 17021 and AS9101D require. As for your certification, the nonconfomities must be CLOSED before your certificate can be issued. In most cases, closure of an nonconformity requires an onsite revisit to establish implementation and effectiveness of the corrective actions. In few instances, closure can be accomplished, remotely, with submission of objective evidence for review.
Nevertheless, despite the end of the year holidays natural delays, there seems to be a communication failure between you and your selected CB.

Re: Waiting for an Auditor after our Stage Two Audit
The Auditor said, there is not need for a onsite revisit. All the nonconformity where addressed and corrected before the auditor left, that is why he said, the action plan where enough. The Company the Auditor works for said everything is fine and he is very reliable. I have sent him an email a week, if our action plans are good, and if there is anything thing else we can do? And nothing came back form him. Is no news, bad new or good new?

Check the OASIS Database and see if your company is registered. If you are then you should be able to view and print the Certificate of Registration. Have you called your Registrar?
Just my opinion

Correction is different from corrective actions. Once again, AS9101D PROHIBITS an auditor from verifying implementation of corrective actions and close the nonconformities during the course of the same audit. If the auditor told you s/he does not need to verify implementation and effectiveness of the corrective actions, s/he is violating AS9101D.

Re: Waiting for an Auditor after our Stage Two Audit
To add further, the time frame for agreement on correction and corrective action plan by the Lead auditor is 30 days from the date of on-site audit.
So there are two options available to you: 1.Call the auditor to remind him/her to review your submission and give the report 2.Stay cool as you have submitted details.
My personal advice would be for #1 option. If the auditor is still not responding you may remind AS9101D clause 4.2.4 (Non-Conformity management)

Re: Waiting for an Auditor after our Stage Two Audit
One huge factor to be aware of is that there is a great deal of turmoil in AS9100 land at the moment as CBs and Auditors rush about trying to get all audits completed before July 1st when AS9100B goes away.
I might even go so far as to say pray for your AS9100 auditors to help them through the stress. Many if not most are booked solid to get this seemingly impossible task completed.
The IAQG tossed a live grenade into the AS9100 auditor community and then slammed and locked the doors.
I would say that you need to remind your auditor, and probably also your CB, but do it gently, as it wouldn't take much for the grenade to blow before the end of the fuse.
