Question The best brand of Electronic Height Gage

Has anyone had any experience with Starrett Altissimo, Mitutoyo QM, or the Trimos V+ electronic height gages? What are the pro's/ con's, user friendly? etc.
Any input would be appreciated.

Re: The best brand of Electronic Height Gage

I used Starret and Mit.. Go with Mit and spend the extra $ for the SPC out even if you non't think you will need it. You will find one day that you have to perform a study measuring height dimensions and recording the data over 500 times.... you get the idea. Easy to program into excell or comma delimited.
Good Luck!

Re: The best brand of Electronic Height Gage

I prefer the Mitutoyo gages. None of them will be a bad gage, but I prefer the Mit.

Hi,

I worked with several (Mitututoyo, Trimos, Mahr and Tesa).
Tesa has my preference, also because some can measure 2½ D.
Whatever you choose, choose one with a build in printer.

Good luck,
Mr.Happy
