Please Help! Venture Capital Valuation Spreadsheet question

Hey!

I have these two worksheets docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmY3HgUDDM9kdGhwUnF0b19LMjRFTjFWcFN0MUJjbEE (VAL-1 & VAL-2) for estimating the value of my startup based on the Venture Capital Method - but I'm curious, what's the A, B, C, D, etc. about?

Are they just there for people who don't want to click on the cells to see the actual formulas?

Since they don't make much sense to me - would it be safe to just take them out (for the sake of simplicity)?

Thank you!

Mikkel

Hi Mikkel,

Those are just short names for the columns or lines. Your spreadsheet will surely be part of a prospectus or business plan. In that document you are bound to refer many times to, say, the "Required Future Value for Investor". So the first time you use it you say "Required Future Value for Investor, (G)". Then from there on, you can simply refer to G in your writeup.
Thanks to Pancho for your informative Post and/or Attachment!
