You would be amazed at what people collect and the organizations that are connected to them.
A couple of years ago when I was restoring my 1963 Harley Davidson Pan Head I was looking for an original 1963 "Michigan" motorcycle plate for it. I contacted a member of the "Automobile License Plate Collectors Association" (ALPCA) and even though he didn't have a plate in his collection, he forwarded my request to about 250 other members. Needless to say, I had a plate in less than a week. The people from ALPCA seem to be a class act. Nice people.
