Please Help! Organization Chart and Job Descriptions - Responsibilities within a Company

Dear all,

Please suggest me below point.

An organisation now implementation of QMS, the factory manager also responsible as Store Manager. It is acceptable ? I think it should not be right. If not acceptable, please let me know the consequence. If acceptable, let me know why???

Thank for every body who assist to me.

Regards,
Jasmine

The standard doesn't prohibit this, but you'd need to be careful about the accountabilities for the quality objectives for that department. Possible conflict of interest.

Re: Organization Chart and Job Descriptions - Responsibilities within a Company

What you need to worry about most is can these people perform these duties without letting their other duties adversely influence them? If a person can perform multiple jobs while maintaining their integrity, then there is no problem. The problem only occurs when a company assigns jobs in order to use a higher ranking job to cover up or "bully" the workings of the subordinate positions. But, this is just my opinion, take it for what it's worth.
