Re: Is it OK to put 2 Part Numbers on 1 PSW (Part Submission Warrant)?

The method I used to make the determination was the print. If it was charted and both numbers (LH & RH) were shown on the same chart print (usually symmetrical) then one was ok. If the LH & RH were shown on different prints, then (2) warrants. ie… no more than (1) print per warrant.
Just one opinion.

Re: Is it OK to put 2 Part Numbers on 1 PSW (Part Submission Warrant)?

I believe it is possible to say "see worksheet" under the part number and have a warrant cover a large list of parts. I have seen this done for minor changes across an entire family that includes many PN's

The rule is 1 customer part number per warrant unless agreed to by you

You have to submit seperate ppaps for them.Because the part nos are differant
Besides both will be rejected if one of the pair is defective.

My supplier submitted 2 part numbers on 1 PSW:
  • it's for a 2 out prog Die.
  • Parts are left and right handed.
I have a problem with it, but don't know of a specific rule that prohibits this. Please let me know.
Two different PSW documents and measurement documents. If other PPAP dpocuments are identical those could be used once.
