Question Is it gramatically correct to say Singapore people or Singaporeans ?

Is it right to say that "Singapore people like durians" or "Singaporeans like durians".

I have heard people use Singapore people or Chinese people or American people ... is that right or we should be refering as Singaporeans or Chinese or Americans

Re: Is it gramatically correct to say Singapore people or Singaporeans ?

In the context that you mentioned, Singapore people or Chinese people or American people ... is a direct translation of Chinese Mandarin and used commonly in the everyday life of many people in Singapore - so called Singlish (Singapore English).

The correct version is Singaporean or People of Singapore - as in their national oath (We the Citizens of Singapore................)

Re: Is it gramatically correct to say Singapore people or Singaporeans ?

Considering all the above, I feel saying Singapore people is incorrect.

Thanks
