The OASIS database shows Intertek with all of their AS91X0 accreditation suspended. OASIS also shows them with 582 entries. The ANAB website shows their suspension as voluntary....

It is a self-initiated suspension, i.e., the CB requests the AB to put them on suspension, BEFORE the AB does that.

BVC did the same thing last year for 6 months!

As to WHY would a CB request their accreditation to be suspended, I can only think for a single reason: They failed to comply with the accreditation requirements so badly that they are HUGELY afraid of what an AB auditor might find, during an audit. By suspending the accreditation, the AB auditor can not audit that program, since, TECHNICALLY, the CB is not fully accredited. In other words, a loophole to avoid MAJOR NC's by the AB's.

The funny thing is that the CB is required to maintain it's current clients audits, but it can not issue new certificates WITHOUT the AB approving it.

I heard a rumor that Intertek was telling their clients that they had suspended their AS accreditation because they were having a hard time manning the AS audits...and with the suspension they were avoiding signing new clients....I don't buy that reason.

So, during this voluntary suspension can the CB issue new certificate for Rev.C transition for their existing clients?

As you mentioned about BVC,if you recollect,the CB was again suspended by the AB within a week.So,if a CB declares voluntary suspension, do they get some sympathetic consideration by AB else why this voluntary disclosure!

An unusual "suspension" in OASIS: RABQSA International, a Training Provider Approval Body (TPAB) is listed as "suspended" in OASIS. Maybe an outcome of severe problems with the way the IAQG AATT course was delivered for the last 2 years, in the USA.

May be a typo error

Many of us are trained during this two years by training providers approved by this body

Reasons are not known for suspension but the way the AATT was managed was bad, specially the faculty selection (not all cases).

IFI - Instituto de Fomento e Coordenação, a Brazilian CB, has had it's accreditation cancelled/withdrawn. OASIS now shows 38 sites, previously certified by IFI as CB Withdrawn/Expired status....

According to OASIS, UL Registrar LLC dba STR Registrar LLC, is currently suspended. ANAB's website show them listed as suspended for a number of programs.
