Nice site!! I love the animation on the home page. It sure fits the businesss.
I see that although you are leaving a job in Quality, the certification monkey still follows you. That CertinTeed program sounds tough. Of course, it sounds like although you may not have quality in your title anymore, at the new company they seem very interested in it.
So, you are going from one company, who had a QA-type position, but was just playing games, to a company where there may not be a dedicated quality person, maybe even not (gasp) ISO 9000 certification, but they are deadly serious about Quality? Imagine that!!

The final product is what sells, for sure. The pictures provided in the web page are just fillers and will soon have our completed projects instead. I'm looking at adding another page just for completed projects. I'm attaching a photo that we are using in our promos right now. No, just kidding as usual. They do excellent work. Many leads come from people driving by the work site and seeing the project underway from start to completion. Beats advertising and is a true measure of their "Quality".

Marc, Thanks for making these files available. I found lots of interesting stuff. The Cove is an amazing resource and I appreciate all you do (and go through) to make it available for all of us!

I'll be opening up the 'premium' directory soon for maybe 2 days. I'll probably open up the 'members directory' again soon for a few days. Maybe do it every month or something. I'm open to suggestions.
I'm not really planning any of this. I'm more watching where things are going and thinking of ways to be 'equitable', if you will, and still (sorry to be crude here) pull in some cash to keep the site at least mostly self supporting.
Your contribution is appreciated!

So I may have jumped in too early, missing the point of your post. Sorry for that! (must learn to control the impulse to show off!!

I'm not an accountant, but it seems to me that there would have to be about 400-450 people before it would pay for the site. And don't get me wrong, Marc has never required money for access to the site, but I think we should all continue to do as much as possible to support the site.
|
Al, I don't think you get it. This whole thing is a scam. All this shutdown stuff was to get us to "ante up".
The way I see it Marc gets.....say a million folks to lay down $25 hard-earned big ones. So, he rakes in 25 mil. Okay, his costs might be one mil tops, leaving him $24,000,000 to finally buy that place in the Caymans he has had his eye on for all these years!
Of course if he can pull it off, he deserves the full bundle. If he can't ... his punishment I guess ... is being stuck with the likes of us!

Atul,
Based on the quality of your posts vs. energy's, please don't try to control anything!

I was only funnin!
Having seen a lot of hits on the attached pic of the barn with the sh1tty roof and no comments, I hope that you viewers didn't think it representative of our work. You know, poor energy is fooling himself if he thinks that it was a good job. One never knows...beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Here's a real one finished recently.
