What are the requirements for archiving past engineering change levels and service parts for PPAP documents.

Customer driven. There is no set standard, but you should ask your customers. Normally, we worked to life of production plus 10 years for service. At that point, we tossed . . .or gave the customer the option to have the parts and documentation.

We currently maintain all files, life of production plus 1 year. But would life of production include the old engineering change files?

To give you an idea of the magnitude of our situation, we currently ship approximately 1200 active parts monthly.
