Hi all,

I'm a Management Representative at Jam and French Fries manufacturing concern. Now a days we are planning to qualify for ISO 22000. I have a confusion about What is validation, Verification and Improvement of FSMS in ISO 22000 Clause 8? Can anyone elaborate it with some examples especially Validation part in Food Safety?

Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards,

Ghulam Mustafa

Generally, verification means proving that you implement what you say you will do while validation means proving that what you implemented is working and effective. Example - If you propose to use magnets to remove metal debris/contamination, you have to show that the process is there and working (through records) and you have to prove that it is effective (magnet strong enough and no more metal debris) in removing the metal debris.
