Re: MSA 4 - Results of GR&R Study using Range & Average Method

There's an Excel template for MSA ANOVA in Miner's blog:
Intro to Measurement System Analysis (MSA) of Continuous Data – Part 5b: R&R
at the end of the blog entry.

Dear Barbara,

please check my atached example. same values and calculation using range&average compared to range method...
so which method to use ? my customer push me to use range&average but even with perfect results I`m not able to calculate all data...
till now I was using just range method where tolerance is important...

thank you very much for support
Hi man!

this is a good spread sheet, is very helpfull. I'm new on this of statistic and I have a few question that I hope you can answer.

1) Can you tell me which is the difference between both methods?
2) Which must be my "Tolerance" this one is according to my spec or customer spec?

Thanks for your help.
