Is there a specific OHSAS 18001 sign format?

We are currently not OHSAS-18001 certified but suspect we will be getting the mandate to be in the next year or two.

We are looking to update our safety signs, add uniformity, etc. Looking at different systems, with this standard in mind, we are wondering if there are any ISO-compliant/International safety symbols that we should be looking at? Not wanting to have to re-do signage if/when this requirement appears.

Thanks Cover's. :D

Hello !

As said by Pservan, there are no signage (nor technical) requirements in any Management System standard (it's rather at your OSH national or federal regulatory level depending on your country you can identify your OSH signage obligations regarding workplaces).

Drgnrider, for your 2015 or 2016 OSHMS project it will be better to use an international standard (ILO-OSH or ISO 45001) rather than the british one (BS OHSAS 18001).

Bye.
