Suggestions for a good Internal Auditor Training Program

OK_Derek

I am new to ISO and my Company, an Electric Motor repair shop in Oklahoma, is implementing ISO 9001.

Does anyone have suggestions for a good internal auditor training program?
I have found several options with various tools and pricing.

What would be best (quick, economic, compliant)?

Re: Internal Auditor Training

Welcome to the Cove! :bigwave:

If you're new to ISO, I am not sure you will manage to obtain all three at once: quick, economical, compliant. You will need to start at the beginning.

A quick and economical approach is to read Google books on ISO.

Following that, an internal auditor should have training in auditing. I got mine with SAI Global, but your local ASQ section may have more economical options.

I'd like to say that what is best may not be quick, economical or even simply compliant. If you are looking to help your system's effectiveness and profitability, I would shift focus to value-added. I hope that makes sense.

At my company we use BSI for formal training. Also if purchasing a book check Dealoz.com (a nexTag for books) for the best price. We also use the book How to Audit the Process-Based QMS. Others may have books that recommend.

BTW if using a book check the reviews before purchasing.
