Are some Design Input elements part of the Design Output?

Hi World,
have a (non) theoretical question.

Does the requirements defined as a Design Input are the part of the Design Output (specification part of the DMR) ?

Depends on the way the input is provided.
Say for example, If the input of the color of my plastic enclosure is stated as lightgrey, then I have to derive what exact color or shade of grey meets the input requirement perhaps from a pantone scheme or an other color scheme, and get the acceptance to select this color. This is then taken as the design output into my specifications.
On the other hand if the input color itself is given as "Pantone coolgrey 11C" then the input is my output.
