Weld Nut Thread Quality - Thread chaser for a M8-1.25 internal thread?

We currently spot weld two nuts onto a stainless steel bracket. The problem we are having is that in order to achieve the 30 Nm minimum torque requirement, the thread quality on some parts will not allow the go gage to pass through the threads. The part is also a pass thru characteristic for our customer so it has become very important that the threads are good. We recently made a small device (very similar to a tapper) to check the threads. The problem is that if the part is not perfectly aligned, the thread gage gets damaged and is useless after that. If there such a thing as a thread chaser for a M8-1.25 internal thread? If so, where could we get some information on such a thing?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or comments.

Larry,
The last chasers I ordered were from Atlas in Farmington. Worst case would be to buy a Carbide thread gauge.

Some thread gages have a groove cut down one side that acts as a chip breaker.
