Work Load Evaluation for Project Management Personnel

VDA 6.3 , P 2.2 requires work load of personnel must be taken into account during resource planning of a new project.

Any ideas on how this can be implemented?

In our company, project management is managed by a cross functional team consisting of members from Marketing, Production, QA, Engineering etc.

A simple spreadsheet listing all the folks working on current projects/special assignments including the allocated time and completion date may suffice.

Vertical column: Personnel names and name of project/assignment(s)
Header (Horizontal) row: A time line showing week numbers and/or completion dates and progress made. (In a Gantt Chart fashion).

Hope this helps to get you going. :)

:thanx:

It surely helps.

If a person is already tied up in another project for 2 weeks. How can this be indicated in the excel sheet?

In the column "Personnel names and name of project/assignment(s)"
You can also add a comment box associated with the cell in which the particular project(s) is/are listed.

You could also use Microsoft Project to lay out the activities that need to be done for the new project and the resources needed to do them, adding in the times when resources aren't available. That would give you a good estimate of the new project completion date.
