April Fools Day, 2010

I believe we might have missed it last year, but for several years we had an April Fool's thread to conspire our celebration for the great day, April 1st.

So, does anyone have a scheme up their sleeves to freak people out, or is the present climate just too grizzly to bear?

In keeping with the "present climate" I believe we should restart the campaign on the dangers of DHMO

I have my first audit of the year scheduled for April 1, so I doubt if I'll have time to be playing pranks. But on the other hand, does that mean that for any non-conformance that is brought up I'll have to be sure they are serious and it's not an April fools joke on me?

Tell the auditor that the number of findings is in direct proportion with how much escort he'll need when he leaves the facilities ... as part of company's new visitor security policy, OSHAS program and OSHA guidelines. Try to keep a straight face!

I understand that during the initial campaign on the dangers of DHMO one city implemented a ban on DHMO:mg:

Check out the MSDS for DHMO. Sounds like the government needs to regulate the use of this more strictly:

DIHYDROGEN MONOXIDE IS CONSIDERED A NON-REGULATED PRODUCT, BUT REACTS VIGOROUSLY WITH SOME MATERIALS. THESE INCLUDE SODIUM, POTASSIUM AND OTHER ALKALI METALS; ELEMENTAL FLUORINE; AND STRONG DEHYDRATING AGENTS SUCH AS SULFURIC ACID. IT FORMS EXPLOSIVE GASES WITH CALCIUM CARBIDE. AVOID CONTACT WITH ALL MATERIALS UNTIL INVESTIGATION SHOWS SUBSTANCE IS COMPATIBLE.
