Image or Photo 6.2.2.1 Product Design Skill - Doubts - No Product Design Responsibility

ISO/TS 16949:2002 says

6.2.2.1 Product Design Skils

Organization ensures that personnel with product design responsibility are qualified to achieve design requirements and are skilled in applicable tools and techniques.

Applicable tools and techniques are identified by Organisation.

But our Organisation does not involve in Product Design and development. The Product design specifications are given to us by our customers.

Now we exclude this clause (6.2.2.1), In such cases what is the justification?

But standard says exclusion only on 7.3 Product.

Kindly help us

Expecting your detailed response.

Regards

You cannot "exclude" it. If you don't have the respnsibility for product, then you would not have such personnel.

You don't exclude the requirement, it is just not applicable because you don't have such personnel. You also don't have any nuclear scientists, heart surgeons, bus drivers, etc, so you would not have sheets for these either.

Re: 6.2.2.1 Product Design Skill - Doubts - No product design responsibility

There is no product design, but there is process design. Hence it is necessary to define process design skills like Core tools - APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, PFMEA.

6.2.2.1 of ISO TS applied only to product design. The other quality tools that you mentioned can be included in the competencse identification and needs of the resources of the organization as per 6.2.2.
