I understand this thread is a couple years old. I found it using the search function. Imagine that! :mg:
Any way,
When our external audit firm performed our first TS16949 internal audit they cited that our
PFMEA form did not have the updated format of the two columns for the “Current Process Controls” for Prevention vs Detection.
How would a company that is TS certified know that one of the AIAG core tool books had been updated if they are not a member of AIAG, which I am sure has a cost attached for being a member? My QE and I do not have the time to be checking every time we put together a PPAP to verify whether the core tools books have changed or not.
I would think that there should be some notification process in place if this is as important as I know it is. AIAG has all TS16949 certifications on record. Perhaps their organization should get into the 21st century with technology that can send a multi address email for notification of such events. AIAG is the first to know of these events.
I am attempting to close the CAR that addresses this but I cannot come up with a Corrective Action that cannot be disputed.
