How can I deterime the load of the DCM? Die cast machine loading

Hey Their I'm a newie and I just want to say that this site is really great.

My question to you folks is- My job is in die casting aluminum casting for the auto industry and we cast them in an 1800 ton Buhler after following the OEE rules how can I deterime the load of the DCM? Any help is appreciated

Try rephrasing your question. I am a little confused on exactly what you are looking for.

Loading can be interpreted several ways:
1. Load = Amount of raw material to be used each cycle
2. Load = Amount of product per hour to run.

Combined with your use of OEE, it seems to imply the latter.

sorry for the confusion, What i'm trying to say is how would I figure out to add another mould to a die cast machine ( aluminum ) even though it looks like are DCM'S are maximized. Our OEE isn't the greatest and it hovers in the 40-50%. I would like to deterimine how much machine time I would have extra if we were to hit 65% OEE on a steady basis, hope its easier to understand.
