IEC 60601-2-49 - Touch Current (Enclosure Leakage Current) requirements

HI everyone!

I need to ask this very basic question, and it is all because I do not have the 601-2-49 with me yet. Does this standard impose requirements regarding the touch current (previously known as the enclosure leakage current) or does it at least point to the general 60601-1:2005 requirements?

And by the way, is there a transition date confirmed for the 2011 revision (2nd edition) of the 601-2-49?

Thank you in advance.

I do not have -2-49 either (multifunction monitoring equipment).

However, a check of other standards suggests that modifications would be that any applied part must be type CF (which demands the lowest leakage currents) and that the part would have to be defibrillation-proof.

The standard is shown as published by IEC in 2011 but is not yet listed on the Official journal of the EU. For that purpose there is generally a 2 - 3 year transistion period after publication in the OJ.
