MRB - Material Review Board - A cross functional review of nonconforming product to determine disposition of the nonconforming material.

Determinations are usually:
Use As Is
Rework
Scrap

A customer waiver or deviation may be sought for 'Use As Is' or 'Rework' where the defect is not a functional issue.

I might add REPAIR as opposed to rework.

Rework: defined as action that returns the object back to drawing specifications. Does not require customer approval.

Repair: defined as action that makes the object usable but not to drawing specifications. Require customer approval.
