SIL (Safety Integrity Level) calculation per IEC 61508.

Hi for all the people.

I've a trouble.
I need to calculate de SIL for a mechanical equipment (Ball Valve) in the petroleum sector.

Can Somebody help me (SIL, PFD, MTBF, SFF, etc).

I've know that Exida does training courses CFSE / CFSP.
Somebody has an opinon about this trainnig course?
Somebody knows if I do this training course I'll be able for my target?.

Harry,
IEC 61508 doesn't provide any calculation method for any particular component.
The Siemens link I provided leads eventually to a free online SIL calculator.

BUT IT DOESN'T RESPONSE FROM MY TROUBLE.
I'D LIKE FIND AN CLEAR FULL PROCEDURE FOR SIL CALCULATIONS
(NO ONLY THE MTBF).

ALSO I MUST CALCULATE THESE: PFD, SFF, & SIL.

CAN I'VE AN SIL CFSE / CFSP EXPERT OR SIMILAR QUALIFICATION BESIDE ME?.

I did not imply it. The original poster asked some other questions apart from SIL calculation (which you had taken care of) and I thought the link and links within it can lead him somewhere.
