Hehehe... AS9100 Internal Audit Schedule - Seeking Example

Can anyone share their Internal Audit schedule with me. We are a Manufacturing / Engineering company who is going through the throws of gaining accreditation to AS 9100 and I'm interested to see how others outline their schedule

Hello,

AS 9100 is a process-based quality management system like ISO 9001:2000. I know different companies who have built up their audit schedule according to the processes of their quality management manual. I don’t know about the structure of your quality management manual so I don’t know if my own experience will be useful to you. Anyway I will try to explain using an example of a process-based audit schedule:

January:
Management processes:
- personnel management
- financial management
- management review
- continual improvement
- corrective and preventive action

February:
Key processes:

Key process N° 1: purchase
- vendor and subcontractor assessment audit and control
- purchasing process
- verification of incoming goods
- identification and traceablity
- handling, storage and conservation

March:
Key processes:

Key process N° 2: Design and Development
- Design and development planning
- Design and development inputs and outputs
- Design and development review
- Design and development validation
- Design and development changes

April:
Key process N° 3

May:
Key process N° 4

and so on…….

November:
Support processes:
- Control of documents
- Control of records
- Control of monitoring and measuring devices

and so on……..

This is my suggestion but as I mentioned before it also depends on the structure of your quality management manual.

Regards,
Angelika
