Our company is thinking about implementing a limited Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) program. We had an on line conference call meeting with an RCM engineer yesterday, and it seemed to us to be a data entry monster. We also learned from him that RCM is most geared to mechanical systems maintenance and does not work well for electronic systems, which 80% of
our maintenance assets are. Does anyone have an RCM system in place that they have any opinions on? Thanks!

I don't have any practical application experience except some theoretical knowledge acquired while studying for CRE.

A somewhat late reply, but who know...might help out others....
We have been actively implementing a Streamlined Reliability Centred Maintenance programme now for the past 8 months or so. I was pointed to this site as an organization that can help no matter what the bulk of the maintenance programme is.
