where can I locate abbreviated version of this guidance/low cost full doc?

I can't say I've ever seen a copy. Anyone work with this spec or know anything about it?

If you go to the ISO 13485 forum, and search for "14971" you will find several posts on the subject.

It is also the best place for questions on 14971, as you will find lots of medical device people there.
