Exclamation VDA Qdx V1.0 - An integration standard for quality data exchange

The German VDA have introduced an integration standard for quality data exchange. There is a free public draft available on their website (http://www.vda-qmc.de/de/index.php?catalog=1075). It is in English and looks conprehensive.

Default Re: VDA Qdx V1.0 - An integration standard for quality data exchange

Hello,

Can you provide me any QDX-compliant examples of XSD files and QDX-compliant XML files. Please let me know if some links are available for this.
How do we test the validity of an xml or xsd for QDX-compliancy?

It is urgent.

Any kind of help will be appreciated!

Thanks and regards,
Gyan

Hi Herman,
Thanks for sharing the information. However, personnaly I don't have a clue on this quality data exchange, would you mind to explain what is the use and the purpose of the standard?

Also, the link provided doesn't seems to be working...

thanks

Default Da was ist QDX weisses fleisch

From www.vda-qmc.de:

But the download link is still, currently, broken.

With the help of the compiled QDX format individual quality documents between customers and suppliers are exchanged electronically.

What is QDX?
Standard for the description and the exchange of quality data between business partners in the automobile industry
given change of the federation of the automobile industry registered association - quality management center
been based on the XML technology
manufacturer and offerer independent are

What isn't QDX?
no quality management system
no software for the support of Q-processes (with business partners)
no software for the production of quality documents or for data conversion
no alternative or redundancy to existing IT-/CAQ-systems
no alternative to Powerway.com, SupplyON or Internet-Portalen
Typically a majority of the quality documents is conveyed by the supplier of the quality document to the customer, who processes contents of the quality document, by importing it into the customer CAQ system (CAQ = computer Aided quality Assurance, computer-assisted quality assurance). The exchange format QDX can be designated thus as a standardized interface for CAQ systems and be integrated for example into an existing CAQ system. This procedure is designated quality data exchange.

The QDX format does not only address itself to oem (original equipment Manufacturer - car manufacturers), animal 1 and animal 2-Lieferanten (first and second delivery stage in the delivery chain) with own CAQ systems. Rather also the stored suppliers in the delivery chain, with whom it often concerns KMUs (small and medium-size enterprises), are to be merged into the exchange process can. For this appropriate software is available for the announcement and dispatching QDX messages on the market.

The employment of QDX represents an important step on the way to the standardized inter-company E-Business. Enterprises, which can provide documents on the basis of the QDX specification, fulfill thereby substantial conditions for wider ranges of the E-Business, as for example the automated processing of quality data e.g. for the purpose of the performance evaluation.
