Recently I joined up this great community - "Elsmar Cove" where people share and help each other and I am overjoyed to be here with people of great knowledge and experience. I am a graduate of Mechanical Engineering (B.E) and have recently taken up some Advanced Quality courses to prepare and write the CQA exams - CQA, CQE, CQM.
I have to make and give a Presentation on "Corrective Action" in the coming week and it looks like I am all over the place as the only Ref. book that I got is the CQA Primer.
If anyone could help me by any means such as:
- By pointing out a few websites, books, etc., to seek and gather information that would help me preparing for the presentation.
- Any Powerpoint (ppt) presentations on "Corrective Action" (That would be great if you can share)
- Anything that can help me out - PLEASE!
I Appreciate your help. Thanks in Advance..

Please can you not cross post the same question in more than one forum, this only makes noise in the system.
If you go to http://elsmar.com/index.html you will see a link to
8-D Problem Solving here is a presentation for your purposes.
Try searching also and if you find intersting info ask us what we think about it.
This will give you a chance to learn something by yourself and give us alos some insight to other sources.
Does any one have any good sites?

An organization's system can be simple or elaborate, but its basic structure will likely contain the elements described in this online procedure: http://www.cmcss.net/iso9000/prm-p005.pdf .
A past employer of mine also satisfactorily used spreadsheets to record the interactions with customers, but had a piece of software written to record the CAR initiations and, if I remember right, to notify involved parties. Some would say e-mail is not a good enough vehicle for this purpose, though one could set them up to alert the sender when e-mail is opened.
Here is another good look at an existing corrective action management system: http://www.eh.doe.gov/camp/ . Notice the link that contains actual examples of quarterly reports of CARs status.
I hope this helps!
