ANSI/ASQ Z1.4-2003 - 1993 version vs. the 2003 - What changes were made?

Yes, we are late in updating to the 2003 version of the standard. The powers to be really heckled me when they performed their review of the new and previous versions. They said that the only change is the term AQL went from Acceptable Quality Level to Acceptance Quality Limit. They already placed the old version in their obsolete files, so I have not asked to see it for myself. Were they correct about the difference between the 1993 version and the 2003?

If so, then why the change? The hecklers say that it is so ANSI & ASQ can make money. Why didn't they describe the changes made to the standard in the standard?

Doug there was more to it. There were changes to the switching rules (tightened to normal) as well. See this page.

Thanks so much for the information and that link. It was much appreciated! At least now I know that we paid over $100 for a revision that included more than just a terminology change!
