Please Help! CCT (Certified Calibration Technician) Examination - A couple of questions

Dear Members of the cove,

I'm attending the Certified Calibration Technician examination.
For those of you that already gave the examination:

- Which bibliography did you find most useful during the preparation?

- Which bibliography did you find most useful to bring the day of the exam?

- Do you remember the degree of detail they ask on particular measurement methods (I don't know how detailed those question will be)

Thanks !
Daniel

The answer really depends on how much time you have to acquire the sources.

I am told (have not used them myself) the the Quality Council of Indiana puts out a CCT prep course that is good.

I think Workplace Training and possibly Quametic have CD based training modules also, but you will have to check with them.

I can also suggest the Metrology Handbook, published by ASQ as a fine reference work (the Metrology equivalent to the Juran Quality Handbook), and most if not all of the CCT information is in there also. Allow me to mention that the Metrology Handbook is a reference work and not a CCT primer.

Hope this helps.

Hershal
