Question Anyone Hear about a recent AS Mandate Letter from UTC and Boeing?

I have heard that there is a letter out there from UTC stating that all of their suppliers have to achieve AS9100 3rd Party Registration by Dec. '05. Is this true? Do any of you have a pdf copy of this to share with all of us?

I also heard that Boeing just dropped a true "mandate" on all of their suppliers for AS9100. Anyone receive this letter that could share with us?

Attached you will find an UTC letter with the deadline of June 30, 2004. So these are old news.

The latest "official" Boeing position on this subject is to require NEW suppliers to be certified and existing suppliers have been STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to seek certification. The mandate for certification to all suppliers might be coming, though.

The Boeing letter is available here. Actually, a lot of very useful information to Boeing suppliers can be found at their supplier Q website and here is the link.
