Discussion Threads - 'Subscribing' to a THREAD so you will be notified of New Posts
There is another way to keep track of New Posts in a Thread.
Go to any thread. Near the top, just below the 'navbar', there is a Thread Tools drop down:
Click it and you will see something similar to this:
If it says 'UnSubscribe', you are already subscribed to the thread (as you can see here I am currently Subscribed' to this particular thread).
Anyway, when you choose Subscribe, you will see this screen:
Make your choice and you will be notified by e-mail of new posts to this thread.

Note that most members do not get a complete dialog box similar to the one Marc shows in the graphic - that one includes Moderator tools. Suggestion to Marc:Why not log in with one of he "straw names" you use in tweaking the software to get the thread tool graphic most readers see and replace the current graphic with the new one?

Thread and Forum 'Tools' Drop Down Menu
The same 'standard' list will appear under 'Thread Tools'. There is a 'Sub-Menu for admins that most people will not see labeled 'Admin Tools'. It should also be noted that there are different 'User Groups'. Some user groups will see the full 'Thread Tools' drop down, while others (such as visitors who have not registered or registered visitors who have not logged in) will see a sub-set of the Thread Tools.
When a visitor clicks the drop down menu, the choices available will depend upon visitor's 'User Group' status.
Visitor Thread Tools
Registered Visitor (Logged In) Thread Tools

As an FYI, there is also a 'Tools' drop down menu in each Forum Listing:
NOTE: Where you see ' Subscribe to the Thread' (or 'Subscribe to the Forum') in these pictures, if you see ' Unsubscribe' instead of 'Subscribe', it means you are already 'Subscribed' to that thread or forum.
