A 'New' Aspect of the Cove - A Definitions and Acronyms page?
I am considering adding somthing along the lines of this:
Quality and Standards Terms and Definitons online.
There are several other places where this information is online, but what are your thoughts? Should I add a *definitions and acronymns* page to the site?

I think it's redundant and there are already similar resources on the web like www.acronymfinder.com.

I agree with Al. Those folks at acronym finder are pretty good at updating.
When I first bookmarked them, they had 232,000 definitions. Today, the count is
The web's most comprehensive dictionary
of acronyms, abbreviations, and initialisms.
398,000+ definitions!
In lieu of our own acronym page, lets just give them a nice link from FAQ or a sticky thread in
How To in the Forums
Detailed Use Instructions - This forum contains basic information on 'How To' do things, such as Add a Poll to a Thread or an Attachment to a Post in a Thread.

Agree
I tend agree with the above.
A link or two would be sufficiant. Also saves on server space.
On the other hand adding an acronym page might draw more users to the site.
Sounds like a pretty major undertaking though.

Helpful
I think it would be an incredibly helpful addition. I know the majority of the folks here are way past the basics, but a list of definitions and acronyms would be a great kindness for those of us who are trying to self-educate using this website.

At first I agreed with Al, Wes, etc. -- the definitions and acronymns are available elsewhere. Then, after reading Robyn's post, I got to thinking (everyone duck! ). How many folks who come here are beginners looking to self-educate? Maybe y'all know better than I. But if it is a fair number, what can we do to better help these folks? Should we ask them (i.e. poll)? What about a beginners section? What about offering newbie "classes" or an outline of what beginners should be looking to learn to become better versed in Q knowledge?
Just some random ideas. All of us were beginners once, and IMO this discipline is one of the harder ones to get education in, so maybe we can do more to help the beginners.

I've got to agree with Al and Wes that it's redundant - a google search easily turns up a couple of sites that can be used to determine the meaning of acronyms, and most of them include quality related acronyms.
