Writing Reports - Giving detailed information on a Continuous Improvement Project
Howdy,
What is the best way of writing a Report with the objective of giving detailed information on a Continuous Improvement Project. I believe DMAIC is a good one to follow but do you have any other templates or ideas in which it could be made not only informative but also intersting to read.
I started using visual presentations to report potential and actual CI processes a few years ago with great success. The old saying, "A picture speaks a thousand words" rings true and is extremely effective.

Do you mind sharing any one of them? I do not have access to email at work. It will be great if you can attach one here.
Also, after talking to Engineers as well as Managers I feel that there must be 2 parts to a report:
1) Geared towards engineers: Very detailed and narrative, almost like a thesis with Problem definition, Scope, Background, Methods used, Recommendations, Achievements, Future research and opportunities etc.. All this could be actually fit to DMAIC philosophy
2) Geared towards management: Concise, Graphic with Charts and tables as much as possible, Process Flow diagrams for before and after, Storyboards, Financial Impact etc.
