Question ISRS Rev. 6 - Any advice on implementing and/or merging with QMS/EMS?

Any members of the Cove experienced with ISRS (International Safety Rating System) Version 6? Our company has mandated all plants (world-wide) go for this, with North American facilities focusing on 5 elements in particular.

We've had our baseline audit and scored the highest of all our North American plants.

Game plan is to have 6 elements (the corporate mandated ones plus one of particular interest to us) formalized by the end of September 2005 - in time for our next audit in November.

If you've had some ISRS exposure, what difficulties (if any) did you encounter in the implementation of it? Did you merge it with an already existing QMS/EMS and what little bumps did you encounter along the way?

I see that DNV is indicating ISRS Version 7 is slated to be released Spring 2005...that's now, right? But my contact there is saying more like the 3rd quarter of 2005. A quick review of ISRS 7 shows that it will have all the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001...plus something called PAS 55 (Specification for the optimized management of physical infrastructure assets....say that 10 times quickly! ).

Sidney would be who you should talk to on this one probably.

Spring time in the Southern Hemisphere is around Q3 . And ISRS7 will also incorporate Corporate Social Responsibility requirements. BTW, who is your contact?

Re: ISRS Rev. 6 - Any advice on implementing and/or merging with QMS/EMS?

Apparently version 7 is out of the ISRS checklist.

Is there any chance to make the list available here, or is this copyrighted material ?

In the last case, where can I buy it ?

Thanks in advance,

Antoine

Antoine,

See the ISRS7 brochure that I posted under the thread, "Which Safety Registration Program to Choose? OHSAS 18001? Z10?"
