Seen in Bangkok - Thule Lappland Sticker
Hey Claes - I was riding through Bangkok today and what should appear?
Any idea what Lappland is?
BTW - This is a 'still' from a video so it's not real clear.

Aye... That I do :
If you ask me I'll tell you it's a fair sized chunk of northern Scandinavia: The far north of both Sweden and Finland. During the summer you can see the midnight sun there, so you really need a watch to know what time it is: You will not be able to judge the time of day (or night) by the light.
In the mid winter you really don't want to know what time it is anyway, because there will be no sun whatsoever... Which I loathe. It's awful, so I'm glad I don't live there. The Nortern light is not nearly enough of a compensation for daylight.

OK - yeah. I was thinking in terms of another company or a product or something. It's not clear in this clip from my video, but in the bottom of the L in THULE it says Sweden.

Other "It's a small world" sitings:
When I was in China in October, I saw someone wearing a shirt from a major high school Cross Country meet held in Rochester NY. It's the McQuaid meet for any of you who have kids who run in the Northeast, or were once runners. This meet involves 5,000 runners from high schools all over the Northeast and southern Canada. I suppose it's inevitable that after years of hosting this event, one of the shirts would make it to the other side of the world. It made me smile!
