Please Help! Making Minitab support real time data acquistion using digital gages interface

I know Minitab does not support real time data collection using digital gages but their tech support says there are interfaces in the market to do so.

Does anybody have a recommendation for a supplier of a suitable interface?

We are small machine shop business that does machining for the auto industry. We have purchased (and regret due to lack of support) ASD SPC Navigator and Enterprise. These are not working and crash too often for daily shop floor use.

We have used a program called "Wedge" that seemed to hold up pretty well. I am not in the group that actually uses the product so I am sorry I can't provide more information. Maybe it will give you a place to start.

Take a look at Hertzler Systems at http://www.hertzler.com .

They've entered into an "official" development relationship with Minitab Inc.

Thanks for both posts. I will follow up. My Supplier Tech Assistance rep said Minitab doesn't belong on the shop floor. It's a "front office tool." He suggested Datamyte or equivalent.

Agree...., It may look like advertizing (God, I hate this) but check "Infinity QS" or "Win SPC", we decided to create our own but they look great.

We check several SPC programs for "shop floor" and this 2 were the most promizing of them all.

In our company we have too much problems because high direction believe that minitab was a competition for our "tool".

Here is a list of spc software
