Congratulations to everyone who passed the exam (no matter if it is first attempt or second attempt). Bottom line you all passed the exam. I see lots of pass results feedback in both Cove and ASQ board.
Anyone expecting a pay raise OR Promotion because you passed the exam?
Regards,
Govind.

I hope the current batch of CQEs get something positive.
When I worked for General Tire Chemical Plastics Division, all who passed the CQE were given a $100.00 a month increase. Corporate top management recognized the vaule. Our corporate VP of Quality in the 70's and early 80's was Delmar Dague, who was the ASQ(C) national historian and early participant in the ASQC. Then after he retired, our corporate VP of Quality was Dana Cound, the ASQ National President, and Chair. I was fortunate enough to get Dana's signature on my CQE Certificate in 1986. He came to visit all the plants in our division, and really had some commom sense approaches to quallity systems and management.

To reply to Govind's question. I got a 15% raise when I passed the CQT in March, and will get another 15% for passing the CQE. No financial benefits though from any other exams that I may choose to take in the future. Those two were requirments since I was hired with very little quality experience.
I've been studying for these exams pretty much non-stop since January, and I'm going to take a well-deserved break.

Congratulations Holly. Thanks for the confirmation.Nice to know that ASQ Certifications did help increasing your salary.
This is the kind of inputs ASQ Salary Survey should capture.
I finished 6 ASQ Certifications. I did not get any increase in salary. (However, I was recognized internally through an email communication with our Quality group and in our local section).
ASQ Salary survey would assume that my salary increased because of certifications by comparing with Certified and non certified.
This is something the survey should seriously address in the future.
Regards,
Govind.
