Please Help! Sulfuric Acid - Defining a Manufacturing Process - What is needed?

Hi everyone,
Good Morning Guys! Its been quite a long time since I last posted a query on this forum, basically....I had a new query on manufacturing, especially on sulfuric acid manufacturing....My boss ask me to be trained in this manufacturing plant because I would be in charged of their quality system however they have few established procedures and some of them was still based on their evaluation and still they are gathering more data to established their parameter. Basically I don't have any background for this kind of manufacturing plant. They'll be audited by a customer by December. Can anybody please enlighten me on how does an acid manufacturing process goes? What are the things or process that needs to be in placed? Procedures to be established? Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Raffy

In case you don't get a response to this rather specialized request, you may want to ask a more generic question regarding procedures for the chemical processing industry.

My exposure to the chemical industry is limited to metal treatments and plating, but I do know that items like chemical concentrations, temperatures, and time tend to be very important. Most good companies in that area routinely test the concentration and purity of the chemicals, and automatically control temperatures and reaction times.

Sorry I can't be of more help, but maybe this will trigger a larger response.

Please Help!

Hi Miner,
Thank you for the inputs, basically I don't have any background in a sulfuric acid plant, my experience and background is more on the electronics and semiconductor environment..
As an additional inputs the plant is Computer NUmerically Controlled. They do test the concentration of the sulfuric acid routinely and submitted to the QA Laboratory for verification.
Your right that Temperature and Concentration and Time is very important, as an additional they also monitor pressure, vibration, pH level, motors ampere reading...
Hope this makes my query more specific.
Best regards,
Raffy
