Thank You! ISO 9001 Process Maps - Please Review

First I would like to thank everyone for making this such a great resource. My company recently received our ISO 9001:2000 certification. With the help of this forum we had ZERO findings and 6 OFI's. One of the OFI's was to "improve" our process maps and implement an internal audit schedule utilizing the process approach. Attached are the overall process map and three individual processes. Could you kindly review/critique these? Once I complete these maps I will develop an audit schedule based on them. I took examples from the forums and adopted them to fit our company's needs. Thanks in advance,

Bernie

Hi, haven't looked at your files yet, but can say that the goal of auditing your processes is to see if 1. they are achieving what you intended for them to achieve, and 2. how you can improve those processes so that they do achieve planned outcomes and more!

ampgus, I looked at your postings of Turtle/process maps. I think you did a good job, I like them. Should not be a problem with an auditor. Good work

Very nicely done. Your metrics in particular are very strong. It is obvious some thought went into them.

One thing we did ws to add a Corrective action and Continuous Improvement links under the metrics block to show what we do if not meeting targets, and how we get better when we do meet targets.

One other thing, I see the "ghost of ISO" in your system, where your procedures match the ISO element numbers. Do you really have a process called Realization? Perhaps you do, but I have made every effort to hide the ISO stuff from people. We have always had a Design process, and now it meets ISO requirements. Only a few people here can match what we do to the ISO standards, as far as they know, it is just the way they do business in their area...

Well done, and congrats on ZERO findings!

Hi Bernie,
Very well set out!
Depending on the size of your organization you might want to consider this aspect of the audit process to include - found in ISO 19011 section 5. Attached is the process taken from this section.

Enjoy!
Colleen
