my turn
well after looking around alot and asking questions...I figured I'd better make an introduction here while I stake my claim. I've been in manufacturing for 12 years on both sides of the fence. I've been part of the evil empire - production manager ....and worked with the force - QE and QM . I find both to be very exciting and I look forward to striking up some interesting chat with you guys and gals. So far I've learned quite a bit here....
1. Paul F.
2. right now...I'm a QE/QM/consultant...until we change from QS to TS and then I'm probably going to be a prod mgr!
3. automotive now and aerospace
4. rather not say but its in MA
5. 2-3 years
6. I understand people and that is half the battle knowing where they're coming from
7. this ISO BS is all a scam....
8. I would start my own quality system, and sell it to everyone so that they all had to buy into it in order to do business.

New user and greetings to all.
Hi there. I am a new user and would like to have a brief introduction of my self. Currently i am working as an Quality Engineer and i am pretty new in this field of related to Quality. So i would like to know more about six sigma, MSA, commonality analysis, jmp tools, minitab, PPAP, TS16949, ISO and other quality tools.
Also, would like to know anybody here would be experience in the plating process as currently i am having one issue here whereby we found out some oil residues resides on the component (metal parts) and causing bubbles after the welding process. Does anybody have or encountered this issues before?
Appreciate if someone here can help to guide or advice what possible rootcause that is causing this issue.
Is there anyone know where i can get this reference in the net? Really appreciate the help given!!
Thanks and rgds,
littlekheong.

Welcome to Elsmar!
You will probably get the best answers if you start a new threads and ask specific questions about processes such as plating problems and things like that in threads.
And don't forget to search and look through some of the existing threads. Many of the topics you cite are discussed in existing threads.

Here goes
I am the Quality Systems Representative for a New York based Aerospace company.
Have been in the business of certifications for 15 years now. I have implemented and maintained FDA, ISO, AS and FAA quality management systems.
Something that sets me apart: No Fear. The ability to move forward despite the odds.
Pet Peeve: QMS for the purpose of a Marketing gimmick.
The one thing I would change in the world of quality would be to take the ambiguity out of the FAA CFRs. Then FAA Certification would not be based on the FAI's mood of the day.
I have been coming to this forum for advice on a regular basis lately and have found some very helpful information. My latest challenge is to implement ISO, AS and an FAA Repair station for my company. I was given from march of this year to december to achieve all 3 certifications. ISO Certification was achieved 3 weeks ago. The AS audit is coming up in 8 weeks and the Repair Station is just waiting on the FAI for final approval. It has been a hella year so far.
So Long and Thanks for all the Fish
