Otherwise, I would go jobless.
LOL.

Nowadays should be Price for Quality.
Cost reduction plans etc, the $ paid for = quality received.

BIG Smile New to this site and to Quality

Hi Guys,

I hope this post works properly.

1. Gary

2. Quality Assurance Coordinator

3. Asset recovery

4. Equity Technologies, Mobile, Alabama USA
I guess you would call my company a service company. We recover
assets, especially telephone systems, computer systems and networks for
leasing companies. We then audit the recovered systems and place them
in our warehouse. We supply the information from the recovery and audit
to the leasing company, and store the assets until our customer decides
the disposition of the asset.
That disposition may be to scrap the assets, they may also ask us to ship
the assets to another location where they have re-leased the equipment,
or they may ask us to sell the equipment for them on ebay or another
on-line site.

5. Started last Wednesday

6. I have no quality experience.

Up until last week I was Programmer/Analyst. I was moved into my current
position by the CEO of my company. The CEO wants to be ISO9000 and
6Sigma compliant asap. The sad thing is there are no known quality
manuals or procedures in existence, so I will be starting from scratch.
My CEO said the reason I was chosen was because of my analytical skills
and because of my poven skill at documentation.

In the past I have participated in forums related to the Information Systems
occupation and have found them to be a great source of knowledge.
At the outset I will probably not have much assistance to offer people at this
forum as I grow into this new career, but in the future I hope to be of assistance to someone.

Thanks in advance to you all,

Gary

Hello

Andrew Barnes

This is my first post.

Plastic Injection Molding in CO, USA

Inspector/Auditor

I've been an inspector for a little over 2 years and am working towards my ASQ CQT. I hope to be sitting for my CQE in about 5 years or so

We are a 24x5 shop of about 40 people. Our quality department is 1 Quality manager, 1 inspector per shift and a Document Control Person (currently vacant)
As a side note, I've found a lot of really useful information here and I've learned a lot from the posts. Thanks Marc and everyone else for this valuable tool.

6. I love it when a plan comes together, Quality is for the many not just for the few.
7. Opinions, grey areas, ambiguity, interpretation.
8. I wouldn’t change very much in the world of quality but what I would change is, remove the mystique, encourage everyone to actively take part not just those who understand the complexity of the words, break down the barriers and encourage those who believe quality involves more work to come in from the cold and understand the positive impact quality has on the whole organisation, not just the individual........
