MSDS/IMDS forum needed
Hi, everyone. We got a new thread from a new Cover this afternoon asking about MSDSs (Material Data Safety Sheets). It was posted in a forum that it really didn't belong in, but I couldn't find a place it really fit. Does anyone else think it might be a good idea to start an area for safety stuff?

I moved the thread but may set up a sub-forum for that topic this weekend. We also had a request for a benchmarking forum. I had one a few years back, but there wasn't much interest. I'll work with the forum arrangement over the weekend.

Where, in the list of forums, do you think an IMDS sub-forum should be?

I think it would go in, Other Specifications, Standards, and related Requirements. But, I don't think it deserves a separate forum. Look at the Human Factors and Ergonomics in Engineering forum, four threads in as many months with a total of 50 posts. I just noticed that one of the four threads probably doesn't belong there and should be moved.

OK - I pretty much feel the same. Just thought I'd check in on the issue.
Other opinions?

Just thinking out loud here but I generally relate IMDS to either automotive, (particularly PPAP submissions) or environmental. If taken out of those areas would it be harder for posters to find? I know we have a search feature but many people don't seem to use it.
Just a thought.

I agree with Dave it should be connected to automotive, maybe a sub forum of PPAP
does anyone else use it?
