I am trying to teach front line production supervisors the overall process (in a generic sense) of how gages are identified for any given process, acquired, validated through the MSA process, delivered to production and then maintained via the calibration system. My end goal is to show them that all that "stuff" occurs before the gage gets to them and their responsbility, as far as gages are concerned, is to a) make sure they have the right gages for their process (as defined on their control plan); b) make sure their people are trained properly; c) make sure they are maintained properly; and d) make sure they are used.
Has anyone seen such a beast depicted graphically? Any guidance will be accepted gratefully.
A bit late, but any takers on this thread??? I would appreciate any help on this.
