are there any adult content in this forum? I got a message from IT that I cannot view certain portion of the website due to adult content as shown below.
The Websense category "Adult Content" is filtered. Hi qualeety. Adult content? That filter seems to barking up the wrong tree for the wrong reason. The link you provided goes via an ad to an organization collecting funds for helping the victims of hurricane Katrina, so imo the filter needs some serious tweaking...
I don't know if this is a possibility, but the threads where we discussed my "Weekend to End Breast Cancer" walk and how Ruth (Dave's wife) is doing...well, could that be setting off Q's IT filters?
I ask only because I gave the Weekend my work email address to keep updated on events and stuff, but the emails kept getting blocked. Turns out our filters were picking up the word "breast" and deeming the email inappropriate.
Glad no one was sending me a recipe for chicken!

May be there's something going on with Websense filtering, because for the first time it's blocking Google Adsense banners where I work. It's not blocking any access to the forums for me though (although Websense can be set to do that). See the attachment, and the space where the Google ad would normally appear.

This might work if you want to see what the content is. Note you might get in trouble with your IT department if you use this work around and bring up something bad.
Copy the URL in question to your clip board
Go to google translate: http://www.google.com/language_tools?hl=en
Paste the URL in the "Translate a Web Page" field
I find if you set it to translate Chinese, it will not find anything to translate (assuming the site is in english) and will return all of the text (graphics seem to be an issue).
Just to confirm, there is no adult content in forum thread content that I am aware of (other than possibly in a few 'humour' threads in the coffee break forum) or in advertisements from Google.
As you might guess, however, if Google ads are being blocked then it hurts the forum because it depends upon advertising to pay for its self for the most part. If a lot of people filter the ads and advertising revenue drops, the forum could end up offline. My personal budget wouldn't be sufficient for me to keep the forums up at a loss.

The same thing is occurring with my personal blog--not the one I link to here--the banners are being replaced with Websense drivel that says "adult content" is being filtered, and it doesn't seem to matter what the content of the ads are. It's really stupid because Websense includes the ability to filter both banners (on the basis that they're potentially distracting) and adult content (for obvious reasons). It's one thing to filter out the ads, but to leave the suggestion that adult content is being blocked is just wrong. It means that on the administrator's Websense logs the filtering will be logged as adult content, which could potentially get innocent users in trouble.

And it could get me in trouble if someone sees the 'adult' label and complains to my ISP.
People should be able to 'whitelist' Elsmar.com in their filters. At work the IS department should be able to easily whitelist Elsmar.com and Google ads.
